Mouth warts picturesA viruss, papillomavirus, is the cause of warts. It develops at the outermost layer of the skin where it causes an abnormal proliferation of cells. Common warts are often gray and grouped in clusters. They are mainly in the extension areas: elbows, wrists and knees. In touch, they are stubbly but do not try to remove the layer of skin that protects them because the risk of contagion is great. 
Instead, flat warts are smooth and round. Sometimes yellow, they grow in groups, on the face and backs of hands. We then see a wart mother, larger than the other, surrounded by several smaller ones. Finally, pedunculated warts are more rare. They are connected to the skin by a pedicle, a sort of foot end. One can easily tear. The face, neck and lips are most often affected. |
